This is your brief guide to coming along to St Matthew’s

Jeremy Hobson

We’re re-opening St Matthew’s at 11am on Sunday 15th December, and we’d love you to be part of the adventure. We want to be a church for the whole of Ponders End, not just people who normally come to church. Our aim is to be an authentic community of ordinary people, rooted in Jesus though the Bible, caring for one another in love, and reaching out to Ponders End with generosity. Our aim is to encounter the hope of Christ in the messiness of life.

What will it be like if you come along? Walk in at 10.45am any Sunday, and you’ll find free refreshments, a family-friendly welcome, and help for people whose first language isn’t English. In the service, there are groups for young people, songs (see our Youtube playlist), and real-life teaching from the Bible. There will be people to pray and talk with you, if you’ve got something on your mind. With everything, we’ll explain as we go along, and if you’d rather just sit and listen, that’s fine.

Maybe you’d like someone to meet you at the bus stop outside before the service, or you’ve got questions? We’d love to hear from you. Just fill out the form below.

“For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God.”
